Behind the world of I SPEAK MACHINE with Tara Busch & Maf Lewis

For your listening pleasure: “We Do Not Die In Our Dreams”

I had an extremely vivid, horrifying, intense, beautiful dream last night which reminded me a lot of the end of the epic Warp Film, Kill List. Have you seen it?

I died in my dream. Absolutely harrowing but brilliant.

I remember someone (probably one of my brothers) telling me when I was little that if you died in your dreams, you were dead in “real life”. I always loved that tale, silly as it is. Like “if you keep making that face, it will stick like that”.

Anyway, I played the recording for Maf this morning after telling him about the dream (as I think it would make a great “art piece”). He really loved the weird little recording and suggested I upload it for you guys to hear & download if you want to fuck about with it- so I did.

This is pretty much how I get the majority of my ideas…in my sleep! I’ll probably use it for something too. By the way, in case you wind up wondering, Carly Paradis, who I mention in the dream below is a very talented composer friend of mine. I’m glad she was unscathed!
