Behind the world of I SPEAK MACHINE with Tara Busch & Maf Lewis

My Mechanical Achillies….

I Speak Machine is moving at an interesting pace this week. I am now basically writing a totally new album with pieces of this involved – password: shedied . I don’t think anything from the work I made last year will appear on this version, which is interesting – it’s as if the previous work was a hard milk chocolate shell I had to eat through to get to the odd, gooey center (I’m thinking in terms of a Cadbury egg, food analogies are always more fun).

I’ve found myself using lots of NI goodness on here recently, still well into Battery 3 ( longing for Komplete 9 though – an upgrade junkie that I am)…my longtime love introduced to me by my friend Volker Bertlemann (aka Hauschka) years ago. And mainly, synth and more synth, and lots of drums done on my Sub Phatty.

And the Phatty is here too. The voice is that of Erin Gaffney Lane, my dear friend and no-biological sister for many years. You will learn her story and inspiration that she so beautifully shares for this project very soon:

*been working my ass off in the gym and trying to control my demanding mouth to get myself down to a suitable size for a few shows coming up in October (shhh!)……but am at the moment out of commission due to this, a busted Achilles. Anyway indeed, see you soon.
