John Foxx and the Maths Release the Synthtastic Album “Interplay” – And a Chat about Synth Love….

Unlike (I would assume) most of you, I came into discovering John Foxx’s work only quite recently…and what joy! His latest work is with collaborator Benge, to form the rather magical John Foxx and the Maths.

In my tiny opinion (I leave critiques to the proper pros), this album indeed is a rich swirl of sonic nutrition, especially if you possess good old fashioned synth lust. From John Foxx’s beloved CR78 to the luscious Moog Modular, these machines are wonderfully utilized to create a “synthtastic” wonderland of an album….all created with hardware only, plugs-ins were absent on this adventure.

Fresh from the wonderful Motherboard.tv is the latest from their Electronic Independence series featuring John and Benge…. & their love of the machines with which the used to create Interplay (fun fact: the ARP 2500 made me cry.). Behold!

Splendid, yes?
