Free Mp3 Monday Week 7! Delicious Dark Energy & The Black Doe…

As we’ve somewhat begun to rebuild the studio here on the east coast, here are some of the sweet sounds of Free Mp3 Monday! Have a look at previous Free Mp3 Mondays for more info – if you’re interested in submitting music, you can either send music to my Free Mp3 Monday Dropbox on Soundcloud.com or simply email me a link.

First off, here’s a lovely crop of sultry snips from MarcJX8P featuring the recently released marvel, Doepfer’s Dark Energy.

More about the making of in Marc’s words: ”the drum sounds in demo 1 are from my Fantom Xa and demo 2 contains a pad sound from my Xa which is played in conjunction with the LFO-triggered  notes on the Dark Energy.”

Speaking of Doepfer’s Dark Energy, here’s a bit more about the mighty synth that gave you these sounds (from the great SonicState.com)

Onward-  Here’s one of my very, very, very favorite artists, Mary Epworth, here’s the brilliant ‘ Black Doe’:

Of course I can’t resist anything Clanger-related!  Funky Clanger by Mooganic

There you are for this week – as for me, now that I’m on a Clanger tangent,  I believe I’ll spend the rest of the day watching this clip on a loop. How I wish I grew up with this show! Anyway, till next time…

  2. That Doepfer Dark Energy unit is scarily attractive… already I’m making mental calculations over non-existent cash-flow. Of course, I tell myself this isn’t rampant consumer-lust but the equivalent of ultramarine paint…
