AnalogSuicide Visits Thighpaulsandra's Aeriel Studios PT.5 ! The E.M.S. VCS-3!

Welcome back to another episode!
Now we get to make a bit of beautiful racket at Aeriel Studios courtesy of Thighpaulsandra and the dreamy EMS VCS-3!
I was so overjoyed to finally have this wonderful machine properly explained to me, matrix patchboard & all! Dashings of Dr. Who, swirls of Pink Floyd surround our happy heads as we take a closer look....

Jeepers, thanks for the nice comments!

Heath you should track down another Putney : )

This lovely gem had so much character. This studio is a very special place & Thighpaulsandra is a very kind person..Wait till you see the ASK and the 2600's!

It's such a pleasure to film these adventures.....!!

Shit. I meant AKS. Synthi AKS.

haha, I'm trying to find one. I'm actually probably going to trade my PS-3200 for a AKS if I can find one. The AKS is the one I had and it was a lot of fun. I was telling a friend of mine that I think it's weird that the AKS goes for less than the VCS3 but has the added functionality of the sequencer and also is more portable. Excellently designed synths.

Thanks for sharing all of this Tara.

Hi Heath!
I love the PS series from what I've seen and read. I read a little about the 3200 - doesnt it have the ability to recall patches? It looks like an astonishing machine. Didnt they only make a small batch of those?

Saw the 3100(i think) on the Will Gregory video, very beautiful. What's the main thing you miss about the Synthi? I wonder if the Putney is pricier just because of its "legend". I'd love for my carry on luggage to be a Synthi AKS! have you used one for live shows?

Is it just something that feels better to you? I found myself more attracted to the 2600's at Thighpaulsandra's than the EMS...funny how that is, some instruments just grab you more for some odd reason. File that under synth-ro-pro- morphization!! :)

P.S.
Saw your comment on Matrixsynth about the Siel Orchestra....we better grab them while they're still 200 dollars!!...*sigh*.
