Celebrating Valentines with 1970′s era Heart, as one must…
Probably the best Valentine’s day wish is one I saw today on Irvine Welsh’s Twitter page:
Happy vallies day to you all, whether you are a hopeless romantic, top shagger, lonely masturbator or all of the above. Have a good one. x

And here is the greatest of Hearts. I have a tremendous soft spot for the Wilson sisters’ work from the 70′s, it represents all things hazy, golden and sweet, having been a young child born in 1973. Wooden swingsets, snow angels, climbing trees, getting beaten up by my brothers, jumping in front of cars pretending to be Wonder Woman and of course…singing with a hairbrush in hand, pretending to be Ann Wilson at the tender age of 3 (apparently this happened, I don”t remember it).
This is another band that my brother Derek introduced me to by playing ‘Magic Man’ over & over…much to my delight.
I remember seeing this backstage footage on TV when I was little! It’s wonderful:
Here are some beauties by Heart, of course they had a gorgeous Minimoog Model D in the formula and what I interpret to be an ARP Solina? Oh I LOVE, love them.
I’m not one to take Valentine’s very seriously, but…..
